Demo Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 October 2025

Welcome

Thanks for trying the Artificial Life Demo!
This demo is an early, experimental version of our artificial life game, developed by HazyCausation in the UK.

It’s being shared exclusively with supporters on Patreon who subscribe at the [Singularity – Accelerate!] level or higher.
By downloading or playing the demo, you agree to these terms.

1. Experimental Nature

This demo is unfinished, unstable, and may break at any time.
You might encounter crashes, bugs, broken saves, strange creature behaviour, or missing features.

We share this version so you can see what we’re working on and help shape its development — but it comes with no guarantees of stability or continued availability.

2. Access via Patreon

Access to the demo is provided through your Patreon membership.
If your Patreon subscription ends or changes below the required tier, access may be removed without notice.

Please don’t share the download link or files publicly — it’s meant only for Patreon supporters.

3. Ownership and Use

All game code, art, and assets belong to [Your Studio Name].
You’re welcome to:

  • Play the demo for personal use
  • Share screenshots or videos (with clear mention that it’s a work-in-progress demo)

You can’t:

  • Distribute the demo to others
  • Sell it, modify it, or claim it as your own
  • Decompile or reverse engineer the game files

4. Analytics and Privacy

The demo uses GameAnalytics to collect anonymous information such as gameplay events, crash reports, and performance data.
We don’t collect any personal information, and you can read more in our Privacy Policy.

5. No Warranty

This demo is provided “as is.”
That means:

  • It may crash, freeze, or stop working without warning.
  • Features may change, disappear, or reset between updates.
  • We’re not responsible for any data loss, inconvenience, or damage caused by using it.

You use the demo at your own risk, knowing it’s part of a development process.

6. Feedback

If you find bugs or have suggestions, we’d love to hear from you through Patreon comments or messages.
By submitting feedback, you give us permission to use your ideas freely in future updates or releases.

7. Ending Access

We may end demo access, update files, or change availability at any time.
You can stop playing or uninstall it whenever you like.

8. Contact

In short

This is an unstable, early build shared as a thank-you to Patreon supporters.
It’s likely to break — and that’s part of the fun.
Play, explore, and help shape what comes next!
